Re. your assertion: the US has claimed too much credit for defeating Nazi Germany. Without the US, Nazi Germany would have won. No way around it. Sure allies were of major importance. Doesn't change the crucial US role though. Re. Noam Chomsky - he is a Communist propagandist who hates America. In his view, the US is the root of all evil in the world. It's a shame so many are deluded by his lies.
