I am really happy to see the Vet community leaping to assist each other.

A group of us are shopping and packing boxes tomorrow to ship to A teams in Iraq and Afghanistan. SF provided us with addresses we can use and get delivery to. My SFA chapter members are funding our effort.
Steve Gardner will be helped.
A number of Vet orgs including the VFW are getting behind providing good stuff for immediate issue to wounded and injured immediately upon arrival in Landstuhl.
The two churches I rotate between attending in Coeur d'Alene have so much going for Idaho Vets and their families it is hard to keep up.
I learned yesterday that the governor of Idaho went to Ft Polk, LA on Thanksgiving to serve dinner to Idaho National Guardsmen and women who had completed mission training and would begin shipping to Iraq the next day.

Reminds me of the early sixties. Then a troop hitchhiking in uniform never waited more than a few moments to get a ride anywhere.

This is one military retrograde action...I like.

The sweetest part of it all are the non-vets but equally patriotic Americans who are pitching in.

Makes me want to go salute somebody.
