Hmmm . . . I think that Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby are the two definitive U2 albums. I have everything of theirs--the first time I heard them I was pregnant with Grainnette and it was so long ago they played in a not very big venue. And then the next morning I was hanging out at Ghiradelli Square with Mr. Grainne and Bono and his new wife walked right by us. They were in their early twenties then--so much time has gone by. I have seen them every time they tour, and they are coming again soon, so I can hardly wait. They played a free concert in San Francisco and Bono slightly defaced the world's ugliest sculpture with some spray paint, and the mayor was really upset. Everyone else thought it was a public service!
