When reading posts sequentially by author from the PeopleMarks page, each post read results in a decrease in their new post count that'll show up on the PeopleMarks page. I just put that change into production a minute ago.

I'm very reluctant to touch that number anywhere else. For example, what if you encounter one of their messages while reading a thread. Seems to me we wouldn't want the number touched then. What about when reading from their profile. Also seems we wouldn't want to touch the number then, either, since the whole purpose of that number is really to give a means to read their messages sequentially. Showing how many messages of theirs we haven't read seems a secondary purpose to me.

Thoughts anyone?
