Does anybody keep track of how many shares repurchased ? A friend told me: By mid summer they had repurchased 14 million, then they guided down, the stock dove again and they probably loaded the boat some more. The tone of the call was a lot better than last time - at least my perception (not sure anybody noticed but a couple months ago they hired/had a req for interfacing with "financial community"; Rick Hill was up to speed and he demonstrated it - sometimes I get the feeling there are so used to the numerous CC's and it becomes a routine and they spend less time of getting prepared; he needs to lead the analysts and throwing dog bisquits like when he explained the tungsten appication). They also picked up some PVD business for blanket aluminum which was not expected. The topline comparision of NVLS versus LRCX was more or less a guess based on opportunities in etch market relative to opportunity in deposition market
