Fwiw, I use Worden to correct Telescan without consideration of possible errors in TC2000. But anything that shows up from Telescan that's out of range I immediately suspect as having an error. Like Richard, it's a conditioned response from earlier experience.

The person that suspects TC2000 data may have a valid reason for what they say, but my bias is toward TC2000. Or for that matter any other data source that uses at least 2 data feeds and does a quote-by-quote compare to capture differences, then resolves the differences. We all need to ask data suppliers if they do that to assure ourselves of the best chance possible of getting good data. Worden does it, so does TBSP. Don't know about the others, but I'm conviced that Telescan and Dial/Data can't possibly look at anything that hasn't first been brought to their attention by a customer. (When you find errors like the Open > High in things like IBM, MSFT, etc, they can't be doing much of a check. And no, these weren't download errors... they were in the database.)

Bruce

ps: just in case others had the same impression as I did, that TBSP used Dail/Data for its data source, I should mention that that's not at all true. They work from 2 different raw data feeds and construct their own data. Don't know how they handle errors they can't resolve.
