Students who are going to study abroad can exchange up to US$20,000 now. And emigrants can exchange all their properties as long as they are legal income. <500,000 Yuan needs to be approved by provincial foreign exchange bureau, >500,000 Yuan needs to be approved by the national foreign exchange bureau.

Although some scholars said the increased amount for students and travellers would not release much pressure from China central bank because they could get all foreign exchanges they want from black market even before the new regulation<g>.
