Hi Croc,

I think the USDA released some Canadian wasps this year to combat our plague of amber-marked birch leaf miners. Guess we'll know in 2-3 years whether it works.

I'll keep Pierre Berton in mind as a source of books on Canada. I'm interested in the Klondike, the railroads, and the War of 1812. A few other Canadian authors I like are Farley Mowat and R.D. Lawrence.

And while I'm thinking of it, here's a few obscure favorites of mine that relate to Canada, written by Americans...

Canoeing with the Cree - Eric Sevareid
Travels and Traditions of Waterfowl - H. Albert Hochbaum
The New Way Of The Wilderness - Calvin Rutstrum
Down The Wild River North - Constance Helmericks
