I don't follow SPIL. In my ADRs I have tended to stick with the big global giants, e.g., TSM, BHP, TM, PKX. Part of this is the issue of visibility and transparency. It's just harder to research and track foreign companies, even with the advent of Google news. SPIL looks like a good cheap midcap and could be an interesting play. It looks like they came public (or at least had the ADR listed) at an unfortunate time as the bubble was beginning to burst and has underperformed TSM, while generally corrolating quite closely to TSM.
