Atheism is illogical. It's impossible to prove that God does not exist. If you don't believe in God then the logical position is agnosticism.

I am not claiming that Christ had a monopoly on his ideas. I am claiming that he expressed a cohesive moral philosophy which I admire, and which, as far as I know, originated with him.

He may have been expressing a moral philosophy which others developed, but we don't have records of that. Certainly others expressed similar ideas.

But it's illogical to be hostile to Christ, unless you are also hostile to Plato, Aristotle, Confucius, and Lao Tse, which I don't think you are.
