What has Iran done to lose our trust? My goodness, Al, have you been asleep since 1979? Iranian leaders starting with Khomenie of '79 repeatedly incite terror against the U.S. They repeatedly paint the U.S. as the great Satan and in just about every internal speech, they foment chants of "Death to America/Death to Israel". They have brainwashed an entire generation to believe that the greatest thing they can do for Allah is to strike out at the U.S. or Israel. They are actively pursuing nuclear weapons in order to gain more power with which to terrorize the U.S. and their neighbors. Rafsanjani and Khomenie's lifelong goal as been to "push Israel into the sea" or "wipe Israel off the map". Iranian mullahs have instituted a harsh theocracy that stifles any attempts at true democracy or reform. Freedom of the press or of ideas does not exist in Iran. What have they done to lose our trust, you ask? You should be asking what have they done to gain the world's trust. Every action they take erodes the possibility that the world will ever trust them.
