Yes they sure are! It seems like they know they've been given another chance and take advantage of it. Doncha wish more humans would adopt that way of thinking?<g> Mikey won't eat anywhere unless I'm there, in the room with him. He's neurotic. When he gets hungry and he wants me to come into the bedroom where his food is, he'll take a little bit of kibble in his mouth and drop them at my feet, where ever in the house I am. That's his way of saying, "HEY LADY, get the lead out, I'm hungry"!! He's done this since he came home to live with us. Mikey also chews is toe nails. He's never had them cut before, he's always chewed 'em if they get too long. He's very methodical about it too. Front feet first, then the back. He also takes the nail clippings and puts them all in the corner by the fire place. Once Syd stashed her shoes over in that corner and Mikey 'bout had a fit cause he couldn't get the shoes out of his toe nail corner!
