The ICRC is an international human rights group. It is EXTREMELY neutral, for example finding egregious human rights abuses committed by the Israelis AND the Palestinians at the same time. If a reasonable person read their reports, I think they would see that (are there any reasonable people left here?)

A lot of innocent teenagers, passersby and noncombatants got mixed up in the sweep of people who ended up at Guantanamo. While terrorists usually do not abide by international standards of care for their prisoners, brutalizing innocents is certainly not going to make this situation BETTER, in my opinion.

Can you show me where the ICRC believes that no one should ever be incarcerated? I'm guessing that you cannot.

America is one of the leading human rights abusing nations in the world. We won't sign international treaties on groups/structures like the World Court because Bush and Co. are concerned that a lot of our leaders would be tried for war crimes. You may think this is an excellent strategy for the U.S., but I think it is horrendous and one of the reasons we are becoming almost universally hated.
