Warrant Extension
Athlone Minerals Ltd. (the "Company") distributed 6,551,922 units in two
tranches during December, 2003 in connection with a brokered private
placement. Each unit was comprised of one common share and one-half of a
warrant, with one whole warrant being exercisable to purchase one additional
common share for $1.00 for a period of one year. The exercise period of
853,712 warrants currently expires on December 4, 2004 and the exercise
period of the remaining 2,422,249 warrants currently expires on December 11,
2004. The Company intends to apply to the TSX Venture Exchange for
permission to extend the exercise terms of the outstanding warrants for six
months, to June 4 and June 11, 2005 respectively. The Company does not
currently intend to apply for any re-pricing of the subject warrants. The
amendment to the exercise term of the outstanding warrants is subject to
acceptance for filing by the TSX Venture Exchange.
