So, here is another piece of new. What is the financial implication? From my understanding, PCMCIA SCSI, again, is a dog business to be in. SlimSCSI is at least a 3 years old product and never took off at Adaptec. If people really need to use iomega Zip drive, why not go for parallel port? In fact, iomega people told me that over 90% of the Zip drive shipped today is with parallel port interface. Since every machine has a parallel port, why do you want to spend another $100 for a PCMCIA SCSI card?

What I'm curious is - why SYSF had to make it such a big deal just because signing up an OLD customer? (Adaptec had used SYSF before)
How much money do you think SYSF is going to make from this deal?

Any comment welcome!
