You are using an ad hominem argument (and it is a ridiculous one, I might add). Amnesty International investigates human rights abuses all over the world, in all countries. Democracies, republics, communist and socialist countries, dictatorships, whatever. The U.S., Haiti, France, the U.K., Russia . . .
That's the problem with the far right--they make absurd proclamations, and they when they are called on them, they insist that any report which factually disputes their position is a lie.
The U.S. uses reports by Amnesty International and ICRC when it suits their purposes, regarding human rights violations in other countries.
Perhaps we should argue about something you guys have at least a teeny weeny point about, so it's not so boring.
The facts regarding human rights abuses by America are irrefutable. I could find several more reports detailing exactly the same thing from every international human rights organization that gains access to U.S. detainees, but I think I've proved my point already. |
