Since LBJ left office, the GOP has held the White house 67% of the time, but the Democrats held the Senate 58% of the time and the House 72% of the time.

"During the 12 years of Democrats only 2 years of that did they have control of both houses."

Wrong again, Sidney with an "i" Reilly. Since LBJ left office, Carter had the benefit of Democrat control of BOTH houses his entire term (and still did a lousy job) and Clinton enjoyed the same his first two years. That's SIX years, BTW.

Oh, and NO GOP president enjoyed that advantage since FDR took office until the GOP took back the Senate in the 2002 elections.

A "lock on government"? LOL.
