Not sure I'm following you.

Having the symbol in the ticker field and the subject title is redundant and adds unnecessary maintenance when symbols change. Also, having the symbol isolated the ticker field allows some additional validation, symbol oriented searching and sorting, and the ability to use it in links that are based on the symbol. My point was that if the ticker field is populated with the symbol, there's no need to have it in the title as well, in most cases.

Before that's done, the ticker needs to be displayed on other screens like subjectmarks, subject, readmsg, etc.

Now, how does your point fit with that?
