You paid for the additional warranty in the $3,000 price tag. My brother is one of the faithful and he often relays his "great" apple experiences to me. I think Macs are good, but they do not run all the little programs that make my laptop truly useful to me (things like the Nokia phone sync program).

Overall, I think Apple makes great products -- definitely the best designs in the industry. I was sold enough to recently buy an iPod.
