Well that probably should have been:

My first significant misjudgment of the year that I haven't yet forgotten and/or repressed. <g>

And of course it's not like I haven't had some losses over this year - stuff like KOSN and REGN. Just thinking of them in a different category than an event-driven mishap like this one.

All-in-all it's been a kind of frustrating year. With big wins in my three biggest positions SEPR, ELN and MOGN (also AMD if you allow non-biotechs to intrude) and no real disasters (most of my medium BPA stake was bought at fairly low levels) it seems like I should have had a spectacular year. But my hedging hurt, as did a number of my smaller positions like KOSN that did poorly. So I'm ending up with a good year overall instead.
