Heinz On Spam and other things also via email Mish to Heinz: On a side note I was surprised by the rally in gold and silver and for that matter the Euro after the initial reaction today. These consumer confidence numbers are interesting in a way. When they are dipping so are jobs. Useless for about anything else but I think the reason people were discouraged was NO JOBS. Heinz: no jobs, high gas prices, and falling real wages....in that order i think. also, a vague feeling that the empire may be in its waning days probably contributes as well (a Prechterian social mood shift is taking place iow.). regarding spam, stock touting e-mail spam is now 70% higher than at the top in '00. got that datum from Prechter (to give proper credit), but i've noticed personally as well that it's way up.
