The state is not involved in killing the yet to be born humans. Their mothers make that decision. If the state were actually deciding to kill them, itself, I'd have a problem with that.

I do not like the state, which cannot run the DMV or anything else properly, and without a flaw, involved in killing people. Do I really want mothers deciding to kill their unborn offspring? Not really, but I don't want the state involved in the matter either. I don't like it either way- but MOSTLY I don't like the state killing people.
