Thanks. I appreciate your time on this matter. I have listened to both company CC's and I now have a cleared up an obvious misconception on my part.

However, one more question on XM payments to GM. Is the 9.3 million dollar quarterly payment for the install fee or does that also include the satellite hardware?

from what I understand, XM must pay GM for the radio receiver from Delphi (subsidize the unit) whether it is turned on or not. I also understand that if a GM buyer absolutely demands that they have a SIRI unit placed in their vehicle, that GM complies and XM also has to pay for that?

Delphi makes a sirius head unit for every GM vehicle.

We will not know the CRTC decision in Canada for probably 30 to 60 days. If Sirius is awarded a temporary or at least a sole "initial" Canadian satrad monopoly, GM is ready to install Sirius equipped vehicles for the Canadian market.

Aside from the political aspects, is the XM contract with GM limited to USA or is it a N. American contract? XM would not be in a favorable position if they were contractually required to pay GM for Sirius installs for the Canadian market "if" XM failed to obtain an initial Canadian CRTC license. I would think that XM would never had agreed to that provision, but GM is calling the shots. I do not know of or I cannot find a link to the specific contract between XM and GM.

Do you have any information regarding these aspect of payments or provisions to GM?
