I've heard no one say it is a success. Why would they since the situation is still in progress. You have forecast a disaster. I wouldn't be so bold. I've always said success is possible and worth striving for. It is not assured. Nothing is. Well, one thing is assured. Appeasement and retreat in the face of evil forces is sure to always make the situation worse.
