Yep. Michal's points weren't lost on me just because they conflicted with some other objectives.

How about if we had a ticker history for each thread, that the Subject search would hit? We already have the Description history (although viewing the version history has not been implemented). Quote related stuff would only look at the current ticker and retrieve a quote if it's populated. Subject search could look at Title, Ticker, and Ticker_History. Of course,, the ticker history would reflect SI's history and not an accurate history of a stock's various ticker symbols.

You may not know af first glance why the Amazon Natural Treasures was returned on a search of AMZN without "drilling down" some more, but that's of lesser concern.

And, that's work at the fringe that probably won't step on Bob. <g>
