I wouldn't trust Z Mag, Final Call, etc. to try to be truthful. But apparently they can't even spin a mathematically plausible lie. Course, only one of these "sources" made up the lie, the rest just copied it.
Let's see if I have your Carter-Brzezinski conspiracy theory down. First in February 1979, the Carter administration forces the Shah out of power, putting Khomeini in power in Iran. Then just after Christmas of 1979, the Carter administration forces the Soviet Union, which is powerless to resist the clever Carter Administration's manipulations, to invade Afghanistan to overthrow a failing Communist puppet government and put another in its place. Then in September 1980, just weeks ahead of the Presidential election, the Carter Administration decides to get in one last evil disruption of the Mideast and gets Saddam to invade Iran and announce the part of Iran which holds most of Iran's oil is actually Arab territory.
Funny that such clever all-powerful manipulators couldn't get the hostages released. Sorry, I can't buy any of it. |
