Thank you for sharing T. E. Lawrence on the Arab mind.

No one could say Lawrence talked down to his readers. I have read it twice and that might not suffice. The sentence that particularly sticks is, Arabs felt no incongruity in bringing God into the weaknesses and appetites of their least creditable causes.

From my earliest learning days of childhood I have found Arabs to be frightening. I didn't understand why then and I probably still don't, not fully. But I haven't changed.
