JB was pretty vocal in his opposition to Syracuse joining the ACC when the ACC had talked about extending an invitation. His view was not universally supported by the SU faithful.

Personally I think conferences should be regional...and make some geographic sense. I'd love to see PSU dump the Big Ten, get their football program together and join Pitt, SU, West Virginia, Rutgers and UConn. Ain't going to happen, but I wish it would. I think BC is going to regret its decision to join the ACC.....eventually.

I think football wise the Big East is a secondary conference now, but basketball is another story. Next year and for a number of years after (if some of the football schools don't split) it should be the strongest in the country.
