Our little community has "The Cowboy Cafe." At the bottom of the menu, along with the sign of the fish, is this notice:

"If you are hungry and cannot afford to pay, please let us know and we will arrange something for you to eat. Please do not abuse this policy so we can make it available to everyone."

So far as I know, it has never been abused.

Your African dish sounds interesting. I would have to fix it without the curry and ginger.
