I was not talking about taking an eraser to public records--I think they are fine as they are. It is you who proposed adding to this by making the arrest records of juveniles permanent.

You seem to acknowledge that life and society may be unfair, but then you are insistent on adding to this unfairness by making it worse.

I like liberals because they see unfairness and want to help in some way. Their instincts are not naturally punitive and judgmental. They understand that a society where most people are middle class and happy will have lower crime rates, and they want to help. Conservatives, at least you, not so much . . . keeping people down and in prison must make more sense somehow if you follow the logic of making juvenile police records permanent.
