Dave, I cannot be very specific about that. It is certainly not the technology but rather the structures within the company itself. The time needed to bring up tools. The lack of discipline in controlling and testing hardware modifications. The image that the company "enjoys" within the small but representative subuniverse of the semiconductor world that I have access too. "Oh my god I have to buy a Lam tool for that ... is there no alternative available ??" is kind of a typical statement. Maybe only part of that reputation is justified but overall there is reason to be sceptical about LRCX. wmf
