i just downloaded a song from that movie
yesterday - song bird sung by eva cassidy.
it's really nice.

i see that nora jones and sheryl crow and
joni mitchell and even the beach boys have
tracks on that soundtrack.

i'll get the video for sure.

we watched a documentary tonight on the
documentary channel about how the skateboarding
got its start from surfing and surfer dudes and
about the various young teens who were at the
beginning of this phenominal sport and how they
commandeered empty swimming pools in l.a. in order
to skate. they were driven. it was most remarkable.

its funny how when you live through something
new, you don't often see the significance of it
until much later ... hindsight and all that, eh.
