It doesn't matter whether you think the left wants another Vietnam or not. It will be what it is and the only question is whether you'll recognize it before a whole lot more kids give up their lives trying to do an impossible and fruitless task.

But by then you'll have a lot of reasons why you didn't recognize it sooner, or why it would have worked if only others had shared your will, or why the losses were minor compared to WW11 or something. But those kids won't come back alive, will they?
