I don't see that as the issue, otherwise, the real story would not have come out....what should be obvious to you with your vast military expertise is that rumors and exageration are common in the fog of war..... but the bottom line is that the complete story was eventually told.....and trying to fiond some evil conspiracy behind it demeans the sacrifice of Tillman and undermines unnecessarily the the military....IMHO.

So the question remains.....what IS the purpose?
