It's my feeling that 9/11, hijacked by the Bushies and the Republicans as the beginning of the "New Cold War" - that is, a way they can generate societal control through fear, is a massive distraction from the real problem facing us in the 21st century, the problem of global economic competition from a host of developing countries. I think we may see a massive shrinkage of the American middle class in our lifetimes. You wouldn't know it by looking to the concerns of our government. Soon, we won't make anything, and we'll design and develop very little too.
