Broozer, I share same fears...

...and these were recently amplified by an announcement that lawsuits regarding patent infringement
were being filed against new competitors. This indicated to me that SNDK is truly afraid that new
entrants can compete at the same flash density level having leapfrogged investment in early
generation flash, having significant fab capacity to drive production and having let SNDK,
Toshiba and Samsung pound out the learning curve during the initial years of flash adoption.


If the new entrants were not yet a threat or were not likely to be a threat in the near future
I question why lawsuits are being launched. If an early, aggressive stance against competition
were adopted such lawsuits would probably have been instituted when planned capacity was announced.
I see the SNDK IP lawyers wiping sweat off their brow now hoping that their timing was correct.
