This nation should know better than to let an ultra right-wing political operative like Joe Allbaugh seize control of FEMA. The politicization of that agency is a huge red flag. Allbaugh stepped down at FEMA just as some stunningly profitable opportunities arose in Iraq. fema.gov Currently, Allbaugh is employed as a "consultant" on Iraqi business opportunities for Republican business cronies. And he's doing a damn good job of keeping this fact out of the news. corpwatch.org A Google search on "Allbaugh retires FEMA" failed to turn up this information. Curiously, many are complaining these days about Google having certain political biases. This is just one more possible example. An astute prosecutor might ask if there were a cui bono? investigation to be made into the extremely curious way that FEMA prevented a proper forensic study of the WTC debris in the aftemath of the tower collapses, leading to an extremely lucrative opportunity for the former director.
