Ah yes, Mr. Sims.

The Brightwater facility will be going in about 3 miles from my home. Sims had his mind made up before the process even started. It isn't slated to be complete till 2012. By that time I may have moved to Snohomish County. If not, we'll hook up to the new sewer system, short plat and sell it all......then move.

Then there is the number he pulled on rural property owners, which is causing a huge backlash. There is a push to revitalize a 25 year old proposal to create a new county called "Cascade." All of the areas that are affected by this land grab would secede from King County and make their own rules regarding land use.

Personally, I think the CAO (Critical Area Ordinance) battle will be taken to the Supreme Court. If they refuse, it will be handled through the initiative process.

The scuttlebutt going around is that Gregoire will face a recall by voters if she steals the election too.

The months ahead should be interesting.
