Some do and some don't. One of my friends is a nurse at a busy community health center and she says they don't mind people bringing in things they've printed off of the net -- especially in the case of people who have unusual illnesses. Often, the doctors or other staff just don't have the time to do a great deal of research on a particular condition. I have several friends who are nurses (very odd how many of my friends are), and a couple of them are pretty avid when it comes to spending their spare time looking for extra info for patients that have conditions they're not up on dealing with. One of the first things one of my friends asked me to do when I helped her get hooked up to the net was to show her how to find info on Lou Gehrig's (ALS) so that she could be of more help to one of the patients in her care. She thinks the net is absolutely wonderful. croc
