Hi MM, reread my post.

I specifically said, don't go off telling me that his plan is to only privatize a portion of it, because like I already said, this is a Gen X you're talking with and we don't believe we'll get squat other than our privatized component.

We are the generation that witnessed our elders blow up this country with deficits, we are the generation that saw the pensions get busted, we are the generation that got 401ks in OUR names. This is only what we trust - money in our names. This is what we want.

Go reread that part of my post.

Given that assumption, you should now understand why $1k isn't going to work for my generation. $1k will not ramp up to 11k after inflation, but 3.6k will.

He'll need to make it 3.6k or he will not get the support of my generation.

$1k is a pittance. And we don't trust the rest.
