Thanks for that animated GIF showing the figure-8 orbit, which interestingly covers both North and South America. If SIRI had more satellites they might be able to service South America when the satellites are down there, probably switching many of the channels over to S.A. content at a certain point in the orbit.

An interesting thing about the technology is that unlike DBS satellite TV used by Dish Network and DirecTV, a precisely aimed small dish antenna is not required. Probably this is because the frequency is S Band (aprox 2 Ghz) compared to the Ku band 12 Ghz used for satellite TV.

Has anyone had a look at Cramer's latest opinion on the stock? I'm long & nervous.
