To add to what I just posted, this is just a short article that gives some sense of the uncertainty surrounding the BMD question. The paragraph about midway down the page is particularly interesting as these are the kinds of things we're hearing from some sources in the U.S. but that seem to be denied by others. People here are pretty much supportive of the use of Norad for sensing, etc... but the question is how far will things go now, and in future. Seems that various people in the U.S. government are saying different things depending on who they are talking to.
