What law or court decision prohibits reading aloud from the Bible?

Though it rarely would be relevant to the subject matter of a class, there are certainly classes where portions of it would be ... such as reading some of the psalms in English class.

As I remember it, the creation of the King James version was discussed in my high school English class, as we were studying Chaucer and other works of that era.
