Thanks for the welcome. Not really involved with IPIC at this time other than for the fact that it is an interesting company with an interesting pipeline which I have been following a bit over the last several months. I expect that the potential for the stroke treatment could be huge, even if only minimally effective, as long as it appears to be without major risks. Incidentally, there was an article in the 8/30 Lancet about the risk of thrombolytic therapy for acute ischemic stroke possibly being substantial, and the benefits uncertain, based on 12 randomized trials including over 3400 patients. This likely increases the potential value of new stroke treatments if the data holds....primarily if there really turns out to not be much benefit to outweigh the risk.
