Palestinian Terrorist Shot to Death in West Bank Webcast News Service, December 3, 2004 Islamic Jihad fugitive Mahmoud Khmeil was shot and killed by Israeli troops when he attempted to evade arrest before dawn Friday morning, fleeing from his home near Jenin in the West Bank. Israeli officials say the terrorist was armed with a gun when he was shot. Israeli troops have carried out frequent raids in West Bank cities and towns targeting terrorists spearheading a four-year-old Palestinian uprising. Elsewhere, the Israeli Navy arrested two Palestinians paddling on a surfboard toward a forbidden offshore zone opposite the Gush Katif settlement bloc in southern Gaza on Friday morning.
