I know another guy who joined that same circus briefly but figured out in about 30-60 days what was going on and left quickly. You know him, too, I know. Yes, a certain empathy can be felt for Hansen with the new home, new baby, career stuff. And he may well be a really nice guy. But erasing logs of that sort with that kind of content, would be obvious that we're not just "making hard-drive space". He got really lucky in this instance, because sometimes when you do really stupid things, life can be much less forgiving than just losing money. "I turned down an offer in 1999 to be part of the circus and thank my lucky stars that my gut took me the right way then."
