Nobody gets short changed the split. If you buy it after August 25, you get the split. If you buy it the day before the split, you get the split. If you buy the day of the split, you get the split, in effect, because you are buying the split shares. The difference in dates is technical and a broker can explain better than I can here.

There is histroical evidence to support the probability (greater than 50/50)that the price on a split stock will rise post split. So, better to add to your position in theory before the split.

Douglas Raborn on NBR tonight as guest market monitor. Said he likes DANB and continues to hold it. This is not to say he would not buy it at this level because he was not asked that question. He has been a DANB fan for at least one to two years.
