Mike, you're the one that said over and over again that "cleaning out" Fallujah might break the back of the terrorists. You're the one that said that you were going to wait and evaluate how well that worked. You're the one that said that if it didn't break the back of the insurgency you would have to reevaluate the doability of the occupation and your support of the Bush policies.

Now you don't think it's a big deal that when we "cleaned out" Samarra it turns out we hadn't cleaned it out at all and that such "cleanups" might all be illusory?

And now I'm "giddy about each and every setback? And "shame on me?"

How can we discuss the efficacy of bad policies if we don't discuss such "setbacks?" Ed
