Christine-

Your domestic goddess epistle had me laughing out loud-my 15yo son read it and thought your nutritional ideas made a lot of sense-my 13 could live indefinitely on gummis and their ilk- and far too many of our meals resemble those of bomb shelter inhabitants at the end of their reserves. (Really, honey, just pour the can of Manwich Sandwich over that can of tuna-I bet you'll love it!)

You mentioned day trading; that was how I got into this-which I now realize was ill-advised as I knew nothing about the market. How I wish I could start over! Now I am stuck with my choices for a while- the deal was that my husband and I agreed on an amount for me to learn with. If I lost it, the game was over. Meanwhile, the bulk of our money is in mutual funds and a strong cash reserve. My broker is a contrarian and wants me to get back in (to the mutual funds)hot and heavy for a few months with the cash and it is so frustrating that he can do it and I can't!!! Well-I haven't exactly proven myself yet... I'm not sure my sons believe me when I tell them our local junior college offers a curriculum identical to MIT's.

Yes-yesterday I attempted to get my life back in order. I made green beans for dinner and got out an old Jazzercise tape (haven't done it yet, but I wiped off the dust). Today my goal is to take it out of the box. I believe it is important to approach these critical life changes slowly, giving each moment a ritualistic emphasis that creates meaning in our actions. Tomorrow I will put it in the VCR.

Actually, ritual IS extremely important and I think that is part of what you were saying-somewhere-when you apparently offended someone -was it God's thread?-The Irish certainly wasn't the only culture Christianity has managed to destroy although I suppose that isn't the word they would use. Isn't that Ask God thread interesting?

hey-it's market time!! Good luck today!
