That is the problem with so many Bush voters--they cannot understand anything except the simplest sentence, are utterly devoid of any complex reasoning skills, and believe everything the brainwashers tell them. Sheer ignorance is right!

You and Ion seem to be in agreement on this -- that stupid and ignorant voters are swinging elections in a way that is harmful to our nation.

Let's think about how we could fix this.

Would you favor disenfranchising illiterate voters? (by one estimate 17% of whites and 40% of blacks are functionally illiterate).

Would you favor requiring an intelligence test for voters and disenfranchising those who fall below a certain IQ level?

Would you favor a "citizenship test" for voters? (This would be along the lines of naming at least one of their state's senators, naming the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, who was the second president, etc. -- you have probably seen such quizzes and know what I am talking about). Would you favor disenfranchising voters who fail such a simple test of knowledge about their country's history and government?

Let's get together on this and see how we could fix the "stupid voter" problem. What are your ideas???
